In the past I have cut out most a 1' slice and used the tee, short piece of pipe and a slip coupling (coupling does not have stops in the middle) So this depends on how much space you may have to work with.

So, for a T that is most three inches long, maybe cutting out three or four inches of existing water line, then would it be like, if I am facing the common cold water pipe from the regulator to the hot water heater,

Cut out few inches of existing pipe - and so slide slip coupling over that existing pipage to the left - insert the new link of pipe into the T and slide the T onto the existing piping to the right - then slide the slip coupling over the new link of pipe, so solder the four joints?

Take I got it?

A long repair coupling tin can be helpful also.
I wish they would outset making slip tees!

Well, a slip coupling onto a "street tee" would eliminate one solder articulation.

HJ, if your local supply house stocks street tees I am impressed. Not trying to sound sarcastic, I really am impressed.

Even with sharkbites, y'all accept to be able to move the pipes. Unless you apply the long i sided slip. But why spend that much more money, when standard copper fittings are all that is needed?

That is because Sharkbites are Non the first pick for "real" plumbers.

hj, i assumed he was not a plumber and if he dose'nt take a tourch ect, then sharkbite is the fashion to go.they make the repair coupling that is long sided.
